Design
In 1991, Zen Jam’s owner Mark Abramson relocated to Hawaii and redirected his creative efforts to the field of graphic design. He started by designing books and magazines for the travel industry. Then in 1999 he moved to San Francisco, where he worked chiefly for Metallica, art directing their fanzine So What!. Additional clients included Motörhead and some local Bay Area musicians and book publishers. In 2017 he took a position as the Creative Director for San Francisco-based experimental music non-profit Other Minds. Mark still takes on select self-contained design projects, and you’re welcome to contact him about yours, but his main focus has shifted back to music production.
